Rhinestone Wings
How can a day be any better than this-I got to play with sparkly, pretty things all alone in my new studio..self-made clutter and chaos all around me, I was in my glory!
New to my stash was this gorgeous vintage brooch. I adore the design that reminds me of wings and things that can fly…so with that as my inspiration, off I went. This is where things ended up-one of my all time favourite pieces. Just love it when things like this happen in my world-hoping you like it too.

Autumn Leaves
One of three copper leaf sets I’ve just finished, this one has gorgeous pale orange Swarovski crystals (Austrian producer of luxury cut lead glass crystals)nestled in the middle of the leaf form. The leaves are hand-formed copper, hammered to texture, antiqued and finished with hand-formed sterling silver ear wires.

Tiger Eyes and Crystals…
I had fun putting this piece together-several times for some parts. It began with the beautiful Tiger Eye stone, and went from there. It came together beautifully-layers of etched brass, filigree and then the stone. The crowning glory is the large Swarovski crystal-my favourite color ever.

Leafy Lovelies
Late Fall seemed a fitting time to work on these copper earrings, I love the warm colors that resulted! Lots of cutting bending, hammering and torching…and then just a bit more hammering. I added a tiny ring with some seed beads in copper and green, and sterling silver ear hooks-hope you like!

A Whole Lotta Love
Was like opening 5 early Christmas gifts this afternoon! These pieces are just out of the tumbler-aren’t they shiny? And gorgeous? and making my heart pitty-pat?……Not sure why there are only 24 hours in the day but sure could use a few more, just can’t wait to get these made up into some new pieces-but will wait until morning and spare my poor husband the racket I make in the process.

Jill is an amazingly talented mixed media artist who enjoys sharing her craft with anyone who will listen–her love of all things metal is contagious! Lots of laughs later, here I am today—slogging through the boxes, wondering how I managed to accumulate so much “stuff”…I bought treasures, then tucked them away for the new studio-Lord, it’s like Christmas with every box that gets opened!!!!
